Through flexible block teaching Research Methods in Cultural Heritage offers skills development in a range of research methods that are essential for work in the heritage industry. These include knowledge of archival sources and heritage registers, data base construction and analysis, detailed site recording techniques, use and analysis of digital mapping, oral history and community values assessment as well as advanced understanding of the ethical considerations and policy frameworks in which heritage places are managed. The subject focuses on methodologies and techniques in the management of both Indigenous and non-indigenous heritage values
