Subject outline
This subject knowledge and skills in agribusiness principles and practices in local and global contexts are developed. This will be undertaken through examination of national and international rural business environments, contextual factors impacting on agribusiness and risk management for agricultural commodities. The development of immature and mature agribusiness commodities and their markets will be investigated. Students will examine agribusiness case studies at the regional, national and international level and be able to describe key attributes of successful Australian agricultural enterprises. Through written work and presentations, students will develop communication skills appropriate for interacting with industry professionals.
