Each course has minimum entry requirements that you will need to meet — these differ depending on the course. It’s important to check these requirements to make sure you’re eligible to apply.

Step 1: Check your eligibility

You can check your eligibility by searching for a course on our website. When you find a course, click show more and scroll to the prerequisite section to find out the minimum entry requirements.

Search for the course you want to study and check your eligibility.

If you’re a Year 12 student, you’ll also need to meet the ATAR requirements. Use our ATAR Wizard to find which courses you’re eligible to study.

Meeting minimum requirements doesn’t guarantee your admission. Your success may depend on how your academic record and experience compare with those of other applicants.

You can also find information on professional recognition and extra requirements under the relevant course entry.

Step 2: Find out the application process

Processes vary depending on the course. Once you’ve searched for a course and confirmed your eligibility, scroll down to how to apply to find out about application processes.

Step 3: Apply

If you’re a year 12 student you’ll usually lodge an application via the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC ) or the University Admissions Centre (UAC).

If you’re not a year 12 student and have not already applied through VTAC or UAC then you may be eligible to apply direct to La Trobe.
