Information regarding the requirements to enter Australia is found on the Department of Home Affairs website. It is your responsibility to read and follow the requirements of the Australian Government.
La Trobe has a duty to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19 at our campuses. From December 2021, anyone attending La Trobe’s campus will be expected to be fully vaccinated.
For students with a valid medical exemption or other legally-recognised exemption from vaccination, La Trobe will make arrangements to enable work and study to continue beyond December.

La Trobe has issued all international students who have taken a Leave of Absence with:
- A returning CoE
- An extension to the new end date of your course

Student visa holders who are outside Australia and travel between 19 January 2022 and 19 March 2022 will be eligible for a refund on their $630 AUD Visa Application Charge. Visit the Department of Home Affairs for more information.
La Trobe will continue to facilitate online study in 2022 as students transition back to on-campus study in Australia. However, as we return to normal, there may be limitations to the subjects that we are able to offer online.
Australia continues to meet all COVID safety measures and vaccination targets set by the Australian Government. Our borders are slowly opening to international travellers with an exemption and to Australian citizens and permanent residents. This is a clear indication that Australia is a safe country to travel to and within.
