Review of admission criteria
The Graduate Research School has recently updated its Graduate Research Admissions Policy and Graduate Research and RTP Scholarships Policy. These revisions include changes to the eligibility criteria for admission into graduate research degrees and for scholarship consideration.
The updated policies will take effect from 18 August 2025. Detailed requirements for individual courses and scholarships will be published shortly after this date on the University website.
If you are considering applying for a Graduate Research Degree, we encourage you to check the website after 18 August for the latest information.
If you have any questions about how these changes may affect your application, please contact our Admissions Team (see below).
Applying for a scholarship
We offer a wide range of scholarships for PhD, Professional Doctorate and Masters by research degrees. Successful scholarship applicants will receive a competitive stipend, tuition fee scholarship and allowances. See what we have on offer and application deadlines.
You can apply at any time of the year if you are not applying for a scholarship, but we will need enough time to process your application and before your planned start date. International applicants will need to take visa processing times into consideration also.
