Future research students

Join our research team

We offer research Masters and PhD programs across our 11 health disciplines. Whether you are a recent graduate, or have years of industry experience, you could be the perfect fit to join our team.

If you are thinking about undertaking a research degree the first step is to get in contact with a potential supervisor:

  • Our researchers are always willing to discuss your research interests and current opportunities available at La Trobe Rural Health School (LRHS).
  • You can locate potential supervisors, their areas of expertise and contact details on the LRHS research pages. These pages also list the current Higher Degree by Research projects and supervisors.
  • If the expertise of the first researcher you contact doesn’t quite match your own interests, they will happily refer you on to another team member who might be more suitable.
  • If you still are unsure of where to start, or have any other questions, get in touch with the LRHS Graduate Research Coordinator, Dr Brett Gordon.

Please note that while you can apply for a research degree at any time throughout the year, scholarship funding opportunities have fixed annual timelines.
