Equity-centred Research: A seminar by Professor Manu Platt
Event status:
Professor Manu Platt enjoys a highly successful career with research areas including tissue remodelling, HIV, cancer metastasis, cardiovascular disease, sickle cell disease strokes, and predictive medicine. His research focuses on biomedical engineering and the development, validation, and dissemination of cutting-edge technologies. Manu has had another, equally important focus throughout his science career. In the US, he is a nationally recognised leader in expanding diversity and inclusion in STEM research and employment. In today’s seminar, he will speak about his experiences, and opportunities available to academics to benefit from increasing inclusivity in all areas of their work.
