Early Childhood Educators Day Celebration Event

Wednesday 6 September marks Early Childhood Educators Day in Australia and La Trobe University wants to celebrate with you! Join us on campus, the evening of Tuesday 5 September, to network, meet students studying Early Childhood Education and be inspired by professionals working in the field.

On the night, attendees will have a chance to hear from Lyndsie Storer.

Lyndsie is an Australian author, singer song writer, children's entertainer, workshop leader & internationally accredited children's mindfulness practitioner. Lyndsie has a passion for helping children identify emotions, decrease anxiety and increase confidence and positivity through music, books and mindfulness, in a fun and creative way.

Then Chantelle Lynch, Associate Lecturer in Early Childhood Education, will facilitate a discussion with two locals working in the field, discussing why they entered their profession, what they love about their work and what their hopes are for the sector. On the panel are:

• Alexandra Valentich, Early Intervention Teacher, Nicole McLeod Occupational Therapy
• Tracey Kourdis, Kindergarten Teacher, Shine Bright Merbein Kindergarten

This event is a perfect networking opportunity for anybody working or studying in the Early Childhood space. It's also a chance for anybody who is considering moving into the Early Childhood sector, to get a glimpse of what careers look like in this rewarding profession.

Format of the evening:

6.00pm - Event commences with an opportunity to network and enjoy refreshments

6.30pm - Event begins

6.40pm - Lyndsie Storer presents

7.00pm - Panel discussion, including a chance for Q and A

7.45pm - Event closes and networking and refreshments continue.
