Details:
Chris Bigby, Director of the Living with Disability Research Centre at La Trobe University, and Alan Hough, Director at Purpose At Work, have edited a new book: Disability Practice: Safeguarding Quality Service Delivery. It is available now for free download via Springer.

On Thursday 15 February 2024, we will be hosting a free-to-attend launch event and workshop day for the release of the book, at the La Trobe University City Campus. You will hear from the authors of each chapter and have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their suggestions on how to improve practice in your organisation. This is a fully catered event, with limited places. You can register via Trybooking.

Disability Practice is a key resource for researchers, students and practitioners in the field of disability practice, with a primary focus on adults with intellectual disability.

It has been written by leading disability practice researchers, in accessible, colloquial and approachable language.

The book is open access, which means you have free and unlimited download access. Hard copies are available from Springer or your preferred bookstore in 2024.

The contributing authors are Sian Anderson, Tal Araten-Bergman, Christine Bigby, Kathy Ellem, Laura Hogan, Alan Hough, Lincoln Humphreys, Teresa Iacono, Aaron J. Jackson,  Jade McEwen, Vivienne Riches, Jane Tracy and Jemma Venables. All will be speaking at the launch event.
