Brief profile

Simone coordinates the Paediatric Stuttering Clinic at La Trobe Communication Clinic and is a lecturer in the Clinical Education Team. She coordinates the clinical subjects HCS5AIB, HCS5SPB and HCS5SPD and is a sessional lecturer and PBL facilitator. Simone has held a number of roles within the Department of Human Communication Sciences, but has a special interest in stuttering and student education. She has extensive clinical experience in treating stuttering and training students and speech pathologists in the Lidcombe Program. She completed her PhD studies with the Australian Stuttering Research Centre at the University of Sydney in 2011. Her research investigated the efficacy and efficiency of group delivery of The Lidcombe Program of early stuttering intervention.
