Pre-placement requirements
Before starting your placement, you’ll need to provide a few documents. This helps make sure you’re prepared and safe during your placement, and it also meets the requirements of our industry partners.
All La Trobe students undertaking a Work Based Learning (WBL) placement must complete the following requirements prior to starting a placement:
- Child Safety & Wellbeing (CSW) Training
- Student Placement Deed
- Apply for a Volunteer Working with Children Check card (don’t worry, it’s free!)
- If requested by your placement host: obtain a Police Check through an accredited service by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission. Additional costs will be incurred: please refer to your course handbook.
Further information on each of the individual requirements and how to complete them is available on Your PlaceReady LMS Hub.
