We are partnering with leading disability service Li‐Ve Tasmania to deliver the Li‐Ve Healthy End of Life Program.

A sector capacity and capability building project, the Program is a research collaboration between Li‐Ve Tasmania, University of Tasmania and our Unit, to develop and implement a suite of organisational support strategies.

These strategies include tailored tools and expert coaching, purpose-built to guide disability service organisations to embed a healthy approach to end of life care and ultimately improve the way people with disability experience the end of life.

Victorian End of Life & Palliative Care Project: People with Intellectual Disabilities Living In Residential Services

We previously hosted a working group for disability palliative care project workers from all Victorian regions and undertook funded research in two of these regions. It’s becoming increasingly clear that the disability context highlights policy and practice issues (advance care planning, realistic choice, shared decision-making) that are of wider significance to end of life care.
