Sunraysia Football Netball League Scholarship
Background
The Sunraysia Football and Netball League scholarships have been established to support students studying at the Mildura campus. Sunraysia Football Netball League office is located in sunny Mildura in North West Victoria. The League consists of three city teams, Imperials, Mildura and South Mildura while Irymple, Merbein, Red Cliffs, Robinvale, Ouyen United and Wentworth are situated outside of the immediate area although all clubs are situated within a 120 km range of each other.
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a current final year student studying VCE or HSC, or completed VCE/HSC and have been offered a place in a degree at La Trobe University's Mildura Campus;
- Be a registered football or netball player within the 9 clubs of the Sunraysia Football and Netball League;
- Have the endorsement of your leadership or coaching team within your club;
- Be commencing your course in the year you receive the scholarship
- Be able to demonstrate financial hardship and state how the scholarship will benefit your tertiary studies
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- Application form addressing the eligibility criteria;
- Personal referee report;
- Referee report from the club's leadership or coaching team;
- 500-word statement demonstrating commitment to the Sunraysia's Football and Netball League beyond playing and how the scholarship will benefit tertiary studies.
