Python is the second-most popular programming language on the TIOBE Index, as of May 2021. It’s expected that Python will surpass C as the most popular programming language.
You’ll learn Software Design (SWDN) Level 2 and Programming/Software Development (PROG) Level 2. These meet the requirements of the Skills Framework for the Information Age and will prepare you for entry level programming and data science roles.
There are 10 weekly lab activities and two online quizzes, including:
- Week 4: General computer and programming concepts
- Week 10: Python programming
- Broadband internet access and an active email address that can be accessed at home during study periods.
- Students must have basic computer literacy skills (e.g. Word or other word processing software).
