The Mallee Series is an annual event that brings together the Mildura community to explore the critical policies, social issues, and opportunities shaping regional Australia.
Launched in 2025 and held each Spring, The Mallee Series sets an annual tradition of thought leadership in Mildura. It creates space for ideas, dialogue, and collaboration, with a focus on the issues that matter most to our region.
Hosted in the Brian Grogan Lecture Theatre at La Trobe University’s Mildura Campus, the event also includes networking opportunities over drinks and refreshments.

The Mallee Series 2025: The Role of the Regions in Building A Better Australia
The inaugural event featured a keynote address by La Trobe Chancellor, The Hon. John Brumby AO, who spoke passionately about the role of regional communities in shaping national policy and reform.
