La Trobe Access Scholarship
Background
In Semester 1 2025, La Trobe University will offer a limited number of scholarships and bursaries to new and continuing students who can demonstrate disadvantage.
Scholarships vary in value from $2500 per semester. Bursaries are one-off payments from $1000.
Important note for current student applicants: Due to the limited number of bursaries and the highly competitive environment not all eligible students will receive a bursary. To maximise your chances please submit supporting documents.
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Meet criteria and provide proof of disadvantage through supporting documentation (examples of disadvantage can include educational, financial, caring for others, non-English speaking background, disability, or other hardship or disadvantage)
- Enrol into a course in Semester 1 2025.
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- application submitted via VTAC Scholarships

Please visit VTAC Scholarships to apply for 2025 now. This applies to students considering studying at La Trobe in 2025 as well as current students. Applications close 11 October 2025 at 5pm.
