  5. The Bouverie Centre reserves the right to apply discretion when enforcing the below terms and conditions where extenuating circumstances are present and relevant.
    1. The Bouverie Centre reserves the right to request supporting documentation for any requests made on the basis of extenuating circumstances.
  6. Where a training includes a self-paced online learning component that is released prior to the first live delivery day, training commencement is considered the time that access to the online component is provided to participants.

  4. Many of Bouverie’s trainings facilitate and encourage self-reflective group work, where participants may share personal and/or confidential information about themselves. It is the participant’s responsibility to treat the trust shown by their peers with respect and not share any personal or confidential information outside of these interactions.

6.1. Participation expectations for training with live delivery

  1. Participants are expected to attend all live delivery days of their training in full.
    1. Training days will begin at the indicated start time (e.g., a training day commencing at 9:30am will begin in earnest at 9:30am sharp). Participants are expected to be prepared to commence the day’s training before the indicated start time. This includes arriving ahead of the training day’s start time for live delivery, and joining the Zoom session before the training day’s start time for online delivery.
    2. Participants are expected to commit to a full day’s training, including continued engagement until the indicated end time.
    3. It is the participant’s responsibility to notify the Bouverie Centre of unexpected absences by emailing bouverie.training@latrobe.edu.au.
  2. All of Bouverie’s trainings with live delivery are interactive, and participants are expected to engage in discussion and activities.
    1. This includes trainings delivered online (via Zoom), where participants are expected to have their cameras and microphones on throughout.

6.2. Participant responsibility for training with live online (via Zoom) delivery

  1. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure a suitable connection to training days with live online delivery. Participants will require:
    1. A personal computer (or similar device); participants cannot share a single device.

  2. Participants are strictly prohibited from recording or taking photographs of trainings or webinars, unless otherwise agreed with the training facilitator/s with the consent of fellow participants.

  1. Certificates of attendance/completion will be made available to all training participants upon completion.
    1. To complete a training, participants must attend a minimum number of live delivery days and/or complete requisite assessment/activities.
    2. For trainings with live delivery, the number of hours attended will be reflected on the certificate. This may reflect late arrivals to and/or early departure from a live delivery day.
    3. For self-paced online trainings, the number of hours of completion is standardised by training (i.e., not how long it took a participant to complete the training) and will be reflected on the certificate. The number of hours you can expect to be indicated on your certificate can be found on the registration page.
  2. Certificates are not provided for webinar attendance.

  1. Most of the Bouverie Centre’s trainings delivered at its Brunswick site are catered. While we strive to do our best to meet participants’ dietary requirements, all catering is prepared and delivered by an external catering company, and we cannot guarantee the absence of ingredients, including allergens.

  3. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that the catering they are consuming on the day meets any dietary requirements they may have.
  4. The Bouverie Centre is not liable for any unexpected participant experiences of its catering, health-related or otherwise.

  1. The Bouverie Centre is always working to ensure all participants can access online content and teaching in an equitable manner, however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet all potential access requirements.
  2. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that the Bouverie Centre meets any accessibility requirements they may have. Where there is uncertainty, or specific requirements to be considered, please reach out to bouverie.training@latrobe.edu.au.

  1. Bouverie is an integrated practice-research centre of La Trobe University and thus all Bouverie training participants are required to complete a workforce research survey both before and after trainings. Your responses help us to understand workforce needs and trainings impact, and to refine our work. More information about our workforce research can be found here .
  2. We ask for your consent for your responses to be added (anonymously) to our workforce research data-pool for research translation purposes. While completion of the surveys is mandatory, your consent for the use of your responses is voluntary. You may decline to have your responses added to the data-pool; this will not prevent you from commencing or completing the training, nor preclude you from receiving a certificate upon completion.

  1. The Bouverie Centre is not responsible for how training content, knowledge or skills learned through its training and webinars is used.
  2. The Bouverie Centre is not liable for any losses or incidental costs incurred by events that are beyond its control (e.g., internet outages, emergencies, or force majeure events).

When purchasing any MERTIL training (including Mini-MERTIL, MERTIL For Parents, and any variation on the MERTIL product), by agreeing to the Bouverie Centre’s Terms and Conditions, the registrant and/or purchasing organisation acknowledges the intellectual property and copyright of all material developed by the authors, La Trobe University, the Royal Women’s Hospital, and the Bouverie Centre.
  3. By agreeing to the Bouverie Centre’s Terms and Conditions, all training and webinar participants agree to ensure that no training and webinar material is recorded, replicated, or further distributed in any way without the written approval of the respective authors, La Trobe University, and the Bouverie Centre. Bouverie’s training and webinars, and their materials, cannot be shown to individuals or groups without a specific licence to do so, nor for profit.

  1. By registering for a Bouverie training, participants accept that their personal data will be managed in line with La Trobe University’s Privacy Policy. Further information can be found here.
