Miranda Rose, Professor of Speech Pathology and Director of the Centre for Research Excellence for Aphasia Recovery and Rehabilitation will present on "Harnessing technology, neuroplasticity, and health system redesign to improve outcomes for people living with communication disability after stroke and brain injury."

Given that communication is central to everyday functioning, social participation, and quality of life, it is unsurprising that communication disability following stroke or brain injury radically disrupts the lives of the survivor and their family. This oration examines how neuroplasticity, technology innovations, and re-designed healthcare systems can be harnessed to address the challenges of living with communication disability after stroke and brain injury.

This event will be held at West Lecture Theatre 2 (WLT2) on La Trobe's Bundoora campus and all are welcome.
