The Accessible PrIDe project is co-led by Thorne Harbour Health and Inclusion Melbourne in partnership with ARCSHS, La Trobe University.

Thorne Harbour Health and Inclusion Melbourne will be developing a suite of resources and training, called Accessible PrIDe, which aims to improve the capacity of organisations and professionals in the LGBTQ+ sector and disability sector to work equitably with LGBTQ+ people with intellectual disability. The training and resources will be developed through a Participatory Action Research approach, involving comprehensive consultations with intersectional lived experience experts (LGBTQ+ people with intellectual disability) and professional subject matter experts to co-design each step in the development of Accessible PrIDe. ARCSHS will be assisting the project through the development of an evidence base - systematic literature reviews and learning needs assessment of sector professionals - and through an evaluation of the training and resource development. The outcomes of these research activities will additionally be used to further inform and refine the Accessible PrIDe resources and training.
