The Malaysian Alumni Chapter provides an excellent opportunity for graduates to reconnect and reminisce about the bonds and friendships built during their student days at La Trobe.

Any La Trobe alumnus (graduate) based in Malaysia is welcome to join the Chapter Committee as well as attend Chapter events and activities.
Alumni activities are designed to be fun and provide opportunities for alumni to catch-up with old friends and make new ones.

The bonds and friendship that were developed during our student days at La Trobe continued after our graduation. Every Friday, we (La Trobians) would gather at the Hard Rock Cafe in Kuala Lumpur to reminisce about the 'good ole days' at La Trobe.”
And this was how the Persatuan Alumni La Trobe University Malaysia (PALTUM) was formed.

A Malaysian Student Bursary was established in 2018 with the aim of supporting current Malaysian students who are in financial need.
Thanks to the generosity of our Malaysian born or based alumni, three current students facing financial hardship have been awarded financial assistance to support their studies.
We encourage our Malaysian alumni to continue to support current students by donating to the bursary.
