Technology

The digital technology that you need to support your research, including compute resources, software, and tools.

Compute Resources

Digital technologies enable the collection, analysis, and visualisation of data across the modern research lifecycle. At La Trobe University, we provide access to compute resources, software, and tools to support that process.

Computational resources are available to run the software, either on premises or via national providers. These include high performance and cloud computing, computer servers, and virtual machines.

Computer Servers

Software and tools

We provide access to software and tools to help you with your research, including:

  • an online research notebook
  • survey tools
  • licensed applications.

You can find software here to help you in the research lifecycle.

We also maintain a list of links to other useful, web-based tools, see the button below. Please, contact digital research if you have found a new tool or an update to the existing list.

And the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) maintain a list of useful tools in their resource hub. Filter on ‘Tools and Services’ to see a list of pages and websites for these resources.
