Facing hefty upfront relocation expenses, students living in regional and remote areas are more than twice as likely to defer their place at university compared to their urban peers.
Take recent Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences alumna, Amy Copland. Thanks to the support of generous donors, Amy was able to move from her family farm in north-western Victoria and excel at our Melbourne campus. Now a skilled graduate, she’s giving back to regional communities through her dairy research work in Gippsland.
'Knowing that I had to move away from my family meant that it would be more expensive to go to University. I'm eternally grateful for the support my scholarship has given me,' said Amy.
