Background

The Baldwin Family Scholarship is provided to a person studying engineering who is from rural or regional Victoria. It is a way to provide an opportunity to a person of talent and ability – who may not otherwise have the opportunity to study engineering. The donor to the Scholarship, Ross Baldwin, grew up in the rural community of Boort. His engineering education took him around the world, but he remains a country boy at heart. This scholarship recognises his roots and the benefits of an engineering education.

Please enjoy this clip of Ross Baldwin discussing his career, his time with La Trobe and his wish to give back to the University and the discipline.
