La Trobe special access schemes

We offer special access schemes which can help you boost your application to gain entry to La Trobe University if you meet certain criteria.

Maximum adjustment

If you are eligible for multiple adjustments, the maximum aggregate adjustments you can receive is 20. Some courses have special adjustment factors that apply. See below for details.

If your residential address is classified as RA2 or higher using the Australian Statistical Geographic Standard Remoteness Areas (ASGS-RA) (2021), you qualify for adjustment factor aggregate points (for example Bendigo, Albury-Wodonga, Shepparton, Mildura).

Adjustment factor aggregate points: regional students applying to courses at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus receive 5 aggregate points. Regional students applying to courses at Bendigo, Albury Wodonga, Mildura and Shepparton receive 10 aggregate points.

If you are applying for our Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) (Regional Entry) and you have a permanent address in RA zones 2 and 3, you receive 10 points added to your ATAR. If you live in RA zone 4 you receive 12.5 points, and if you live in RA zone 5 you receive 15 points.

Please note: this RRSAS scheme is not applicable to Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Medical) applicants who have to meet a Geographical Classification - Remoteness Area requirement.

La Trobe University is committed to providing support to elite athletes who strive for success in both their academic and sporting pursuits.

Current year 12 students who can demonstrate that their national or international sporting commitments have impacted their studies may be eligible to have a five (5) aggregate point adjustment factor applied. This adjustment is only applied to domestic undergraduate applicants who also satisfy all of the published course selection requirements.
