At La Trobe, there’s more than one way into uni. Start your studies at La Trobe College or one of our TAFE and VET partner institutes to gain direct or guaranteed entry into your preferred Bachelor’s degree at La Trobe.

You could also be eligible for advanced standing (course credit) for any studies you’ve already completed towards your preferred course at La Trobe.

La Trobe College

At La Trobe College you can study on campus in Melbourne or Sydney, and gain guaranteed entry into a range of Bachelor’s degrees at La Trobe – as long as you meet the minimum grade requirements.

With a range of 8 or 12-month diplomas, you can go directly into second year in more than 25 Bachelor’s degrees in Melbourne, or all business and IT degrees offered at our Sydney Campus.

We offer three intakes each year to give you greater flexibility when starting your diploma, with small class sizes and access to extra out-of-class support services to help you feel supported throughout your studies with us.

With a VET or TAFE pathway, you can complete a certificate at a TAFE or VET for more practical learning, and then transfer into a range of Bachelor’s degrees at La Trobe.

How to apply

Check with our partner institutions on how to apply for the VET component of your chosen pathway. You'll usually complete this process via VTAC or directly with the partner institution.

Once you've enrolled at TAFE, you can apply directly to La Trobe University or through VTAC for your preferred course at La Trobe.
