Pelka-Caven Regional Access Scholarship
Background
The Pelka-Caven Regional Access Scholarship has been established as a result of the generous support from Ms Pelka and Mr Caven to provide support to female students with a regional or rural background. The scholarship is open to female students commencing a Bachelor degree course with a preference for students with a refugee and/or non-English speaking background.
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- identify as female
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa
- be intending to enrol as a full-time student in a undergraduate Bachelor degree course in Semester 1 2019
- be from a regional or rural area
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- an application via the VTAC scholarship application that addresses the eligibility criteria
- evidence of financial need
- preference will be given to applicants with a refugee background and/or a Non-English speaking background
