PROGRAM TESTIMONIALS

I really value the reflective space that the Bouverie postgraduate group supervision program provides. As a clinician working in regional Victoria, group supervision has provided a space to reflect on my development as a family therapist and to connect with colleagues on a similar path. To have access to the experience and expertise of the Bouverie supervisor is invaluable. Could not recommend more highly for anyone who is thinking about enrolling.

Brenton
MClinFamTher (2021)

I find that group supervision keeps us connected to our values and ourselves in an important and nurturing way. As well as being an important skill reflection point, it gives me as a business owner valuable time with peers in an otherwise busy private practice which contributes to my self- care

–  Max, MClinFamTher (2022)

I value the ongoing opportunities to learn and grow with the guidance of Bouverie trained Family Therapists. I highly recommend this post grad professional development

~ Kate, MClinFamTher (2022)

I have enjoyed hearing about different ways of applying systemic practice in different work contexts and the possibilities within short and long term work. I have valued being reminded to look for strengths and opportunities for empowerment within constraints.

~ Hanna, MClinFamTher (2023)

Witnessing people's growth through group supervision, the generosity and support that group members extend to each other as they share learning, highlights and challenges in their work, is most inspiring to me as a Supervisor.

Referee Report

Group Supervisors can provide Referee Reports on the supervisee’s level of understanding and skills in family therapy/systemic practice as demonstrated in group supervision.

Primary Supervisor

Postgraduate Group Supervisors are unable to fulfill the role of Principal Supervisor.

Supervisees may approach their third-year Masters’ clinical supervisors as potential Primary Supervisors or seek a Principal Supervisor external to The Bouverie Centre. See the Academic Programs guidance for using your third year clinical supervisor.

Requesting a Referee Report

Supervisees should advise their group supervisors at the commencement of supervision if they intend to request a Referee Report. Supervisors or the Program Coordinator will seek this information at the commencement of the program.

The referee report is a current assessment of the supervisee’s understanding and skills in family and systemic practice. As such supervisors reserve the right to decline a request for a Referee Report if made outside of active participation in group supervision.

Further Information

A Certificate of Attendance will be provided to all supervisees as a record of hours completed in the group supervision program.

Further information including templates for Supervision Logs can be found on the AAFT website.

Therapists already registered with AAFT are also welcome to apply.
