Student placements
The La Trobe Rural Health School advocates for flexible placement experiences for our students when undertaking placements as part of their studies. We partner with a diverse range of health professionals and health service providers supporting our students to gain valuable knowledge and skills, as well as enjoying the benefits of the local community.
The La Trobe Rural Health School is one of 19 university departments of rural health across Australia, which were developed in response to the rural health workforce crisis. The La Trobe Rural Health School is part of the Australian Rural Health Education Network (ARHEN) which encourages our students to undertake placements in regional settings with ARHEN universities to further develop their skills and experience in rural communities.
Accommodation
Our Rural Health School campuses have accommodation available for our students to book during their placements (subject to availability).
