ESOS: protecting your rights

Australia provides the world's most rigorous protection for international students through the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000.

In Australia, under the ESOS Act, institutions that provide education to international students must meet national standards in their education delivery, facilities and services.

The ESOS legislation aims to maintain the quality of education in Australia, protect the rights of international students studying in Australia and support the integrity of the student visa program.
