General Information and Policy Summaries
The University purchases a comprehensive insurance program consisting of multiple policies designed to support the University, its staff and students for accidental loss, injury, additional expense and legal liability arising from unforeseen or unexpected events during the course of University operations.
Travel Insurance provides cover for staff and students whilst travelling both domestically and internationally on approved University travel.
The policy responds to unforeseen accidents, losses, and additional expenses for approved travel to destinations 50km or more from the staff or student’s main campus or residence. Valuable areas of coverage are emergency medical expenses and evacuation, cancellation/curtailment expenses, and loss of personal effects/travel documents.
