Delivering quality and safe services to people with intellectual disabilities in the NDIS
Our centre's online seminars are resuming on June 11.
This seminar will feature two presentations about the delivery of quality and safe services to people with intellectual disabilities under Australia's National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Firstly, our director Professor Christine Bigby will speak about changes in the quality of support in group homes in Australia since 2013, drawing upon data from the Living with Disability Research Centre's longitudinal study on supported accommodation.
Then, Dr Alan Hough, director at Purpose at Work, will speak about the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's Federal Court cases about harm to people with intellectual disabilities caused by disability service providers.
Please email lids@latrobe.edu.au to register.
