Engaged learning
Our students – regardless of their degree – get the best balance of practical skills and theoretical knowledge so that they can graduate with confidence.
We offer a dynamic, engaged and supportive learning environment where students are exposed to new technology and new thinking.
Many of our academic staff are internationally recognised experts, enabling them to go ‘beyond the textbooks’ to disseminate the latest findings from their fields. Others are specialists in education-focused research, allowing us to incorporate the latest technologies and best practices into our curriculum.
We actively engage with our student representatives, listening to their feedback and continuously enhancing their educational journey.
Additionally, our smaller class sizes ensure that students have direct access to our dedicated staff and state-of-the-art teaching facilities.
Employability
We ensure our students are well informed about the range of careers that are open to them when they graduate.
For example, La Trobe’s career development learning program, My Career, is embedded across our courses. This program teaches students how to proactively navigate the world of work with modules and resources on career exploration, social media tools, future careers research, interviews with professionals, building professional networks and articulation of employability skills.
