La Trobe Energy Analytics Platform (LEAP)

La Trobe Energy Analytics Platform (LEAP), is a technology platform to provide energy analysis that monitors consumption patterns and performance of up to 50 buildings across the university campuses. The platform generates actionable insights to reduce energy consumption across La Trobe University campuses by making lighting, heating and cooling adjustments in real time to reduce energy consumption. The technology is expected to help La Trobe reach its net-zero emissions target by 2029.

The research combines data analytics, innovative artificial intelligence algorithms developed at CDAC and machine learning to create a technological environment for smart buildings that can think for themselves and make adjustments to reduce its energy consumption.
