The Laurence Neal First in Family Scholarship
Background
Mr Laurence Neal wishes to support an undergraduate student who is the first in their family to undertake university education and who comes from regional or rural Victoria. The scholarship valued at $6000 per annum for three years paid in instalments of $3000 following confirmation of enrolment and eligibility after the Semester 1 and Semester 2 census dates.
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa
- be intending to enrol as a full-time student in an undergraduate Bachelor degree course in Semester 1 2019
- be the first person your immeditate family to attend university
- be from a regional or rural area of Victoria
- be able to demonstrate financial disadvantage
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- an application via the VTAC scholarship application that addresses the eligibility criteria
- evidence of financial need
