Background
Soroptimist International is an organisation dedicated to advocating for human rights and advancing the status of women. Soroptimist International of Shepparton proudly funds an annual bursary recognising a high achieving second-year female Education student at the Shepparton campus experiencing financial hardship.
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- identify as female
- be enrolled in the second-year of the Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education at the Shepparton Campus
- be able to demonstrate financial disadvantage. For further information regarding how to provide evidence of financial disadvantage please see here.
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- application form addressing the eligibility criteria
- personal statement outlining the reason for applying and how the bursary will support the completion of your studies
- submitted evidence of financial disadvantage
Where all other factors are equal, preference will be given to students with high academic merit (WAM).
