Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing - Online Personal Statement

All SBVN applicants (VTAC and direct international) must complete and submit a Veterinary Nursing Personal Statement. Applicants must include details of:

  1. Why do you want to study veterinary nursing, and specifically the Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing?
  2. Describe your relevant animal and veterinary-related experience/qualifications. Be sure to provide details (including timeframe) and evidence of any volunteering, work-experience or paid work that you have done, along with any animal or veterinary-related study.
  3. Describe scenarios where you have demonstrated multitasking and organisational abilities. For example, managing studying and working and other life commitments.
  4. Describe any community involvement, leadership and teamwork activities that you have participated in Be sure to explain what teamwork means to you and provide details of teamwork activities you have done that demonstrate your teamwork skills. This could include volunteering, work, school achievements and extra-curricular activities.

The character count is to be between 250-500. Applicants are also required to provide supporting evidence and/or letters of support where applicable at the time of application.

Failure to submit the personal statement and supporting documentation will delay the assessment process. For Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre applicants, please also submit any supporting documents directly to VTAC.

Please note, applicants can submit the applications a maximum of 2 times.
