X-ray Powder Diffraction (XPRD)

Powder X-Ray Diffraction performs crystallographic and structural determinations, of solid materials and is particularly useful for phase (mineralogical) analysis.

Technique

X-ray powder diffraction utilizes the constructive interference of X-ray with the crystallographic arrangement to identify the structure and phase composition of powdered rocks and minerals, metals, pharmaceutical as well as a range of industrial samples. Quantitative phase and parameter analysis are attained with Rietveld refinements using varies software packages.
