Australian Bushfires

Our thoughts are with those affected by the bushfire emergency in Victoria and other parts of Australia.

We recognise the outstanding efforts of the emergency services personnel currently working around the clock to tackle this unprecedented catastrophe.

All La Trobe campuses remain open and we continue to monitor local conditions across our campus network.

It is important that we take care of ourselves and each other. The safety, health and wellbeing of staff and students are paramount, and University support services are available for those who need them.

For up-to-date fire information visit Vic Emergency and NSW RFS websites and apps, and for air quality information visit the Environment Protection Authority.

Students with queries about their studies can visit Ask La Trobe, International Student services or International Recruitment team. If you have been affected, please talk to us about how we can help you commence or continue your studies.  Many kinds of support are available.

La Trobe has offered assistance to Victoria’s emergency management services to support first responders and affected communities, including through the provision of temporary emergency accommodation to visiting US firefighters at our Albury-Wodonga campus.

Members of La Trobe’s community wishing to support impacted communities are encouraged to donate via the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
