Engineering Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Open for 2025

La Trobe University's Engineering Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program is an opportunity to invest in your future workforce now!

The WIL program pairs driven final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students with the appropriate industry organisations to deliver a six to 12 month (800 hours) work placement.

By pairing with the best-fit student, and providing  ongoing support during their placement La Trobe University brings its expertise and knowledge, together with the organisation for the benefit of both students and partner.

By taking on a La Trobe engineering student, you will benefit from:

  • Students provide solutions to your business challenges.
  • An addition of fresh ideas, energy and enthusiasm to your workplace
  • Access to dedicated and talented engineering students in the final year of their studies
  • Leadership and mentoring opportunities for your current staff
  • Harnessing early career talent
  • Developing long term work force for growth.
Expressions of interest for the next placement are now open!

La Trobe is committed to ensuring both employers and students are supported throughout the placement. Our dedicated WIL team works with your organisation to make sure that you, your business and the student gain the most out of the placement opportunity.
