Work with our students
Industry placements and projects connect our highly adaptive and enthusiastic students to professional environments where they acquire practical and industry-relevant work skills.
Our students can assist with day-to day work or help deliver specific campaigns or events. Whether you need five or 15, we can bring together groups of students from varying disciplines to help with projects, pitches or complex opportunities – bringing you the best minds from across La Trobe University.
Showcase your organisation
Hosted in Melbourne and Bendigo, our employability expos attract over a thousand students annually from all stages of study. They come to hear from industry experts and discover the skills needed to excel in the workforce.
We invite industry partners to meet our students, provide insights into the most valuable skills students can develop and showcase the opportunities that exist within your organisation.

Mentor a student
The Industry Mentoring Program is a fantastic opportunity for professionals to connect with students, share valuable insights, expand professional networks and ensure La Trobe students are Career Ready. The Industry Mentoring program lasts 12 weeks and runs three times each year.
We also host a range of networking events where industry and students can connect. Our events offer you the opportunity to showcase your organisation and the opportunities you have to offer.

Solve your challenges with Hackathons
‘Hackathons’ bring industry, students and alumni together to rapidly develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Not only do they allow for project development, they are also a valuable platform for feedback and enable professionals and students to work together to share expertise and skills.
Hackathons typically last for 24 hours but can be customised to suit the challenge.
