La Trobe University City - Masterplan

We are transforming our 255-hectare Melbourne (Bundoora) campus into a thriving city that brings together living, learning and working in a sustainable environment designed for future growth.

In 2022, we reached out to the community to help us shape our University City– to gather community thoughts and insights so we could understand what was important to help create a university city on our Bundoora campus that would provide the facilities, green space and amenities that people need in a modern, sustainable and liveable university city. Based on what we heard, we updated our 2018 masterplan.

The 2025 La Trobe University City Master Plan [PDF 8.7 MB] provides the spatial design blueprint to guide the development of our university city over the next 25 years. It outlines the framework for an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable city for today and tomorrow.  Explore some of the key features set to be delivered below.
