Local living

New and improved housing will be home to students, staff and private residents across walkable neighbourhoods.

We will have a diverse mix of housing, including apartments and townhouses, that will cater to our local community and will be set within a natural landscape. We have already constructed a  624-bed student accommodation facility on site - the first of many accommodation precincts planned for Bundoora. Of the new residential development, 15% will be affordable housing.

Our commitment to mixed use precincts ensures the inclusion of local facilities within walkable distance, including shops, schools and recreation facilities.

We will also improve connectivity between existing communities and La Trobe University City through the enhancement and expansion of a safe pedestrian priority and cycling network to encourage active transport.
