A resilient bushland city
The uniquely Australian character of our Nangak Tamboree eco- corridor will be enhanced to provide a more extensive green network for living, learning and innovation, as well as a net gain in biodiversity. There will be over 1 million square metres of regenerative, climate resilient open spaces.
Providing a green link between Bundoora Park to Darebin Creek, we will establish an open space of regional scale.
La Trobe is working with the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation to establish an enduring partnership for the delivery of the masterplan.
There will be a focus on cultural values and cultural heritage planning, education, community infrastructure, business support and procurement, land management and biodiversity, opportunities for art, place naming and signage.
