Professional background/experience

Margaret Burdeu is the Principal of Burds I-view Consulting that works with government and not for profit sector to renew their policies, strategies and engagement of partners and stakeholders. Burds I-view seeks to promote conversations that enable those with a stake in decisions to be heard.

Margaret’s expertise is in policy and strategy development, advocacy, multi-agency partnerships and engagement. Her policy work has mainly been in the fields of education, therapeutic and food regulation, OHS and health promotion.

She has held of a range of not for profit board and senior management roles in government and the community sector including: Senior Advisor to the Director Youth, Disability and Women’s Affairs Branch (DHS) and Manager Policy and Advocacy Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria. Her board roles included Chair of Multicultural Media Exchange Ltd that sought to enable the voice of young people from diverse community to be heard and membership of Tandem: the mental health carers network and Merri Community Health Service Ltd.
