Our Allied Health services offer specialised and quality individualised supports to your child and family.
Supporting Children and Families
Our Allied Health services at La Trobe University Community Children’s Centre (LTUCCC) aim to provide high-quality allied health supports to children, their families, and the community.
Our supports are delivered through a child-centered and strengths-based approach that is neurodiversity-affirming and tailored to every child’s individual needs. We take a collaborative approach, working closely with families to empower children to actively and meaningfully participate in their everyday life.
Who Provides the Supports
Services are delivered by qualified allied health professionals, including:
- Psychologists
- Speech Pathologists
How Supports Are Delivered
The allied health professional will tailor their support depending on each child’s unique support needs and support focus areas.
This may look like:
- One-on-one sessions with the child
- Family and teacher consultations
- Classroom observations
- Assessments and developmental reports
- Support letters and planning documents
- Coaching and capacity-building for parents, carers, and educators
- Liaising with external support services
Where Services Are Offered
We provide flexible support across a range of settings, including:
- At the La Trobe University Community Children’s Centre
- External kindergartens and childcare centres
- Community-based environments suitable for the child
- Telehealth/online
Fees
Allied Health services are charged at their current NDIS rate:
- Speech Pathology: $193.99 per/hour
- Psychology: $232.99 per/hour
Travel fees are capped at 30-minutes each way (maximum of 1 hour total), at 50% of the hourly NDIS rate per allied health professional.
Fees and charges may be:
- Privately funded (‘out-of-pocket’)
- NDIS Plan funded (self-managed or plan managed)
