OTARC's research activities rely on a combination of winning competitive grants and receiving generous donations from the public.

We focus on collaboration and applying research to support others. We are uniquely placed to provide our funders with maximum value for funds received. Our approach to research means that we guarantee your support will be rewarded with excellent results.

Volunteer

If you are interested in volunteering at OTARC, please register. Our available opportunities depend on the needs of each project. This can include supporting research by data entry and administration, help with events or with social media and communications. Once you are registered, you'll receive emails when specific volunteer roles arise. You can also opt-in to receive information about opportunities with other autism organisations.

Please note: As of 31 July 2017, all volunteers and employees of La Trobe University are required to have a valid Working with Children Check. To volunteer you need a ‘Volunteer’ category check, which is free. Please see:

Extraordinary and generous

Olga Tennsion AO has made donations to La Trobe University since 2008 to establish and continue the work of the Australia's first research centre dedicated to autism. OTARC is named in recognition of her contribution.
