La Trobe Business School recently highlighted its 2025 achievements aligned with the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), a United Nations supported initiative that aims to raise the profile of sustainability in classrooms through seven principles focused on serving society and safeguarding our planet.

Dean, Professor Sue O’Keefe, said the School has made significant progress in advancing responsible management education across teaching and research.

“In 2025, we deepened our engagement with sustainability, equity and ethical leadership across all areas. From embedding sustainable development goals into our curriculum to launching impactful research projects and fostering community partnerships, our work is driven by purpose and guided by values.”

Some highlights include the release of Sustainable Events Guide, the development of a responsible AI strategy, and the launch of the sustainable development goal research dashboard.

La Trobe Business School also offered a new range of subjects with a focus on responsible management including sustainable finance, ethical auditing, responsible AI, global business strategy and workplace inclusion.

In the research space, La Trobe Business School academics collaborated with industry partners on high impact and innovative projects.

Some notable examples include the development of a quantum-powered optimisation system with industry parter NEXTDC, and a new AI decision-support tool created in collaboration with St Vincent’s Hospital.
