Celebrating our 2026 Honours list appointees

La Trobe University alumni, staff and former employees have been recognised for their commitment to excellence in the 2026 Australia Day Honours List.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Theo Farrell said the honours reflect the breadth of impact made by the La Trobe community.

“These honours recognise the extraordinary contribution of La Trobe people across our communities, professions and public life,” Professor Farrell said.

“From advancing research and innovation to educating future-ready graduates and serving the public good, La Trobe’s impact is felt locally, nationally and globally.”

These honours acknowledge extraordinary contributions to education, research, public service, community wellbeing and professional practice. We are proud to celebrate the La Trobe staff, former staff and alumni whose work exemplifies our values and commitment to making a difference.

Recognised for significant service to tertiary education, including leadership and contribution to the higher education sector.
