Industry Coaching Week, part of La Trobe University’s Industry Venture Challenge, provided exclusive access to firsthand stories of triumphs, challenges, and resilience from business owners, entrepreneurs, and some of Australia's emerging industry go-getters.
It was a unique platform for students to connect with founders, La Trobe Alumni, and industry leaders across sectors such as tech, social enterprise, not-for-profit, the arts, and sport.
Through registered Zoom workshops, attendees heard from speakers from diverse backgrounds who provided insights into their respective journeys and learnings along the way, including:
- Mike Chmielewski, Founder & CEO, Brane. Mike shared his journey from idea to app innovation
- Dr. Kaushik Sridhar, Founder, Orka Advisory. Kaushik shared tips for working in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) entrepreneurship
- Natasya Rallios, Founder and Facilitator, Teambition Australia. Natasya recounted her journey from La Trobe to Teambition, inspiring others to turn their passions into successful careers
- Matthew Boyd, Founder and CEO, NatureBoss. Matthew shared his startup creation journey through venture visions, providing valuable insights on turning innovative ideas into reality
- Sarah Ramantanis, CEO, Young Australians in International Affairs; Marketing Communications Lead, University of Melbourne. Sarah offered invaluable insights on growth, branding, and standing out in a competitive industry.
Registrations filled up quickly – a reminder of the power of storytelling and the impact of shared experiences in building a resilient community of achievers. Participants actively engaged and demonstrated a profound eagerness to interact with presenters, posing a diverse array of thought-provoking questions.
Through events like Industry Coaching Week, La Trobe remains dedicated to providing our community with the tools and resources to navigate the challenges of the present, while steadfastly focusing on building a future of success and achievement.
