Analysing the accountability ecosystem in Kiribati

Aidan Craney and Tearinaki Tanielu have recently produced a report analysing the accountability ecosystem in Kiribati.

The report suggests that Kiribati is leading the Pacific - and possibly the world - in melding formal and informal systems to support accountability, underpinned by the foundational values of I-Kiribati culture: egalitarianism and communalism.

The study is a part of the Vaka Pasifika Project run by UNDP Pacific Office in Fiji.
